I have always enjoyed taking pictures. As a child, I would take pictures of friends and family members (including our beagles), scenery, or just "something different". I can remember the anticipation of getting the photos back from the photo lab.

Times and photographic technology have changed, and my love of photography continues to grow. I now carry my digital camera with me almost everywhere I go, hoping to capture a memory that will last a lifetime. Some pictures are carefully planned, finding just the right location, time of day, etc. Others are totally spontaneous.

Many of the photos displayed are from a recent trip to Kaua'i and the Big Island on Hawai'i. Hawai'i is a photographer's dream - gorgeous flowers and scenery are everywhere! But I must admit that my photos don't measure up to being there.An 11"x14" photograph can't possibly compare to 3000 foot cliffs, gorgeous waterfalls, and brilliant sunsets. God is a very creative artist and made such a beautiful place for us all to enjoy!

Other pictures are from the local area - Ocean City, Maryland; Shenandoah National Park, Virginia; and even my own neighborhood. God puts beauty around us constantly!

You'll notice that I've added verses to several photos. Sometimes a picture reminds me of a verse of a favorite psalm. Other times, a verse seems to bounce off the page as if to say "Take a picture for me." I offer my prints without text, or customized with your favorite verse or inspirational quote.
